Sadly, Tim Elgar will be leaving us on December 31st 2016.
After an incredible 9.5 years with the charity, 6.5 years as the CEO, Tim has decided that it is a time for a new chapter in his life. He has been instrumental in developing the charity into what it has become today. He has shown courage and determination and led by example. The charity has grown in strength and in size during a difficult economic period and we are immensely grateful for his commitment and leadership during this time. Tim will initially be working self employed as a consultant supporting a number of small charities and churches to work towards their vision. He will be missed, but we thank him for all he has done.
What is exciting is that we have a fantastic leadership team at e:merge and that we can maintain the continuity with an optimistic outlook to the future. We are delighted to announce that Andy Sykes, currently our Bradford Director, has been appointed by the trustees to become the new CEO from January 1st 2017. Andy joined e:merge almost three years ago and encompasses all the values of e:merge. He has shown amazing competency and heart that makes him the right person to keep moving us forward. We can look to the future full of hope and aspiration.
