At e:merge all our activities and projects are about developing young people to realise their potential. Through all our sessions we focus on 9 areas of their lives that we know if we can have an impact will be transformational for them.
Healthy boundaries are essential for us to function in everyday life, from how we appropriately interact with someone else, to understanding when we have crossed a boundary. Understanding and developing these is essential for a young person to be able to succeed in education and in life. Many of our young people previously lack the life skills and awareness of healthy boundaries. Their ability to follow instructions, understand appropriate behaviour and how this also extends into relationships. We believe in stability and consistency and model this through all our sessions. Through honest relationships we have a unique opportunity to challenge and support the development of appropriate healthy boundaries. We do this in our one to one interventions but also by the design and management of our sessions.
