The week before Christmas, e:merge in Bradford ran a Family Day in two separate locations in the city, inviting the young people we see regularly week by week to come and join us with their families for some fun and games and good food.
Almost 100 people joined us for the afternoon helping to create a joyful Christmas atmosphere and enjoying a range of crafts, games, challenges, balloon modelling and dancing. We also had a ‘tree of hope’ in each venue to enable people to share their hopes and dreams for their community in the coming year – some of which we hope to be part of enabling.
Due to the generosity of the Bradford Cinderella Club, Bradford Academy and other individuals we were able to share the Christmas joy through amazing food at the events, masses of selection boxes and food hampers and gifts which we were able to give out. We are incredibly grateful for their support.
