At Sanctuary, our Bradford residential this summer, we had a great time sharing positive stories with the young people and the team opened up about the things that had made a difference in our lives.
Aaron, who lives with his foster family and has just finished A-levels said this;
“I need to say many thank you’s to many people. E:merge has been a great place for getting to know great people – young people and staff members, many of whom have made a great difference in my life. I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for each of them. As you know, I’ve had many families in my life over the years, but the best one of all has been my e:merge family.
“My favourite memories of e:merge are the sanctuary walks and the long conversations I had on them. I learnt most through my small group, the amazing leaders (thank you Frank and Weasel) and the example they set.”
Aaron is volunteering as a young leader on this summer’s Xsport camp in Bradford.
Sanctuary was an amazing week of exploring peace in the city of Bradford. Young people and staff were all inspired by the stories which have made up the amazing social and cultural history of our city. We are proud of our city, and proud of each young person who is doing their part to continue the story.
