During the Easter Holidays, young people from e:merge took part in Hope Revolution 2015 – a week bringing young people, churches and youth workers together through mission activities and social projects across Bradford and Leeds.
The group of young people from our faith-based programme xstream enjoyed an amazing week learning together with other young people from across the two cities, and taking part in a range of projects each day.
“Hope Revolution reminded me of what is important. Seeing God in places I wasn’t expecting and knowing that God was moving people closer to him as we made a difference in the community.”

As well as the involvement of our young people, our Community Hub in Bierley was one of the centres for the mission activities each day. Each afternoon, a team of young people were involved in leading play activities for children and young people and creating an amazing garden area at The Life Centre, and in leading a children’s holiday club at Bethel Community Church. On the Friday they also spent time with the older people of the community serving them lunch.
“It was amazing to see the opportunities in Bierley enhanced for local young people and to see the confidence and skills of the team of young people grow day by day.”
