During the Easter holidays we took a group of 8 young people to Black Hills scout Camp for three days. Whilst there we had a BBQ, sung plenty of songs around campfires, went for a few walks, played many games of hide and seek in the woods as well as doing a social action project on the camp site itself. We also found time to try archery as well as crate stacking challenging each of our skills as individuals and as a team. The photo is of the group on our first night walk where we came across an old Foley, (this is where you can create your own horror story of who lived there). The young people are involved in our Sutton hub coming along to e:merge every week, taking part in our drop-ins where we plan and develop social action projects as well as learn more life skills by cooking each week. The young people and workers alike loved the residential and was a great time been away together. We liked it that much that we are going again for 4 days in summer. Massive thank you to Affinity Sutton/Clarion housing who funded the residential.
